Default So much for my new OEM RS6 wheels and tires I was supposed to get.

Got this email from the guy I was buying them from this morning. Back to the search. The guy was waiting to get his new wheels from Fiske, before he sent me the RS6 wheels. Sounds like this guy's got bigger issues than I do.

I have not gotten the wheels from Fikse yet. But an interesting turn of events with the RS6....it has been in and out of the shop all of April. I bought the car April 2....It went in for a blown Trans on April 8 - 26.....picked it up on 26th and went back in on the 28th.

Im filing an act of Lemon Law, and have given my dealer until May, 3 to make restitution........looks like its going to take a while..............but I am not accepting the car back from them.

I am sorry to say that the wheels wont be for sale.......I apologize.

I am currently trying to sell the Fikse set up, as I now have no RS6 to put them on.

Thanks for your patience;

Default That was always the back up plan, but it would have been cool to have the OEM's.

How are your new wheels and tires treating you?

Default It's not about being cool.

It's about all the reasons I rant about if you do a search.

The Achtuning's are a decent product, so I wont go into it again (and again, at least not in full length).

Ask yourself this, would you wear a fake Rolex? Would you purchase a knock off Gucci bag or Prada purse for your gf/wife?

Do you drive an Audi?

Aside of my "opinion" OEM weigh less are manufactured by one (not seven) manufacturers. Rotational weight is important, process, warranty and finish also come to mind.

Stick to your guns if you have the patience. My first set of RS 6 wheels was also a failed deal (wire transfer bounced back 2 weeks after initiated, $40's in fee's, nothing to show for it) BUT I received a better deal the second tme around (like getting 2 wheels and 4 Dunlops for free compared to retail

Like I said, Achtunings replica's are a fine product, it's a matter of personal opinion (and a little weight). Hopefully, there will never be a warranty need as they should stay round and true.

Drop me an email if you need any advice, I manage these kinds of deals on a regular basis.

OEM wheels are stronger and less likely to bend.

Default They're around

Are you watching ebay? Fairly regularly there seems to be a posting for the 18" OEM, some with tires, some without. W/ new Dunlop 9000's I've seen them go for $1800-2300. The majority of postings are for the RS4's, but if you look for the right offset, the description of where the wheels came from (and the id of the seller), you should find it. Several dealers seem to be removing them and putting on 19's, and are selling the take offs on the web.

I see a set on now w/out tires. It took me about a month to find a set last fall, and they seem more common now if anything. Good luck.

Oh yeah, they're heavy all right compared to the 17 4.2 wheels, which are no lightweightsthemselves. As CarbonLORD says, built for (relative) strengh.
