Sport package on a6 4.2. How much of a difference

I have an '01 4.2 without the sport package. If I had the choice again I would *definitely* get the sport package. The non-sport is just too Buick/Oldsmobile tuning for my taste (see my post further up the page to get an idea of the situation you'll be in if you want to convert a non-sport to a sport).

The steering is the same for both "versions", so ya gotta
"pull" or "change" the servotronic steering relay. Not difficult...there is a FAQ on the proceedure. Some have replaced it with the S6 unit. Try the "search"...there is a lot of info/experience on this subject.

I would not have bought it w/o sport package.
Stock wheel and tire combo, don't care for it. Sport fills the fenders better. Seats are more comfy and supportive once they break in. Handling is tightened from a wallowing whale to sporty large car that handles pretty well.
