Geez…if you've been leaking motor mount fluid just replace the motor mount.

I'll put up with a little vibration at idle for now. I'm more worried about my coolant loss.

Turned out to be a small leak in the head gasket, and my coolant temp sensor was reading incorrectly so the car was running hot.

I was quoted around $2500 for the head gasket. Does anyone have experience with Bar's Stop Leak? I was thinking about using a bottle to last me until I find a new car.

just as we suspected ..

That stop leak is Junk .. may help with a pinhole leak in a rad . but a heagasket leak ? no chance...

Well I have no oil/coolant mix, so it isn't that bad, yet.

I was thinking about just throwing this in.

It is suppose to seal the gasket. If it works until I find a new car that's all I need. This car is quickly becoming ****ing junk.

Get it fixed.

That crap is for cars you are selling to people you don't like or know.

Skip.

Find someone sane to do the head gasket...assuming that is really what it needs.

I'm going to be trading the car in soon because I don't want to pay the $2500 to fix yet another expensive problem. I just got it back from the shop that told me it was the head gasket, and declined to get it fixed.

Did they tell you that, or have you repaced the sensor to confirm (cheap and a 10 minute job if you haven't done it).
I always confirm diagnosis with a second opinion or my own tests.
Audi V6's aren't renowned for 'just blowing' their head gaskets.
They are renowned for cracking their coolant tanks and leaking through their pressure caps.

Sensor was changed this morning, haven't had the chance to see if it was still leaking yet. The shop told me there was a slight leak into cylinder 2, and I once got a cylinder 2 misfire code and smelt coolant. (cleared the code and it has yet to come back)

The car blew a water pump and overheated nearly 38k ago, has been fine until about 1k ago though so I don't think that really had anything to do with it?
