Tire pressure update from...(a little long)...
4-2-01. In the poll taken then, I posted using 40 psi front and 40 rear and that I may increase the rear. I was headed in the wrong direction. By using the 3 people and luggage settings, which was the lightest load published on the placard, I was over inflating the rears. I used Griffs "trick" with the chalk marks and after a few test runs with the "normal load" of my wife and I, full tank, and extra set of tools, found that 36-38 psi in the rear and 40-42 psi in the front is closer to good settings. The ride is better and steering seems more responsive.
These pressures are being used on a '00 2.7 T PSK with 17x8" OZ Operas and Dunlop SP 5000s. Wanted to get this on here in case someone was following my lead. Thanks Griff.
