Default Tree sap

There's an extremely unpleasant and quite tenacious substance on my right rear quarter panel which I think is tree sap. I've tried 3-in-1 oil, Zaino car wash, and elbow grease to get it off without success. I've only managed to spread it over a larger area. HELP!!!! What should I use to remove this without taking the paint off with it?

try road tar remover
i think turtle wax make it
it comes in a yellow spray can
with a non-scratch pad
let it sit for a bit,
then scrub off,

I know I'm a little late, but here's a trick I learned - hold an ice cube on the sap for at least 60 seconds. If you had dry ice that would be even better. The sap freezes - it is brittle instead of sticky - and you can get it off easily with your fingernail.
