Default Absolutely correct, and that was my demeanor yesterday, as well as mentioning ZF.

I'll have a whole list for the GM by Monday.

Default Of the dealers I've polled so far, a couple won't touch it, and one of them told me flat out

"If we screw it up, we are totally liable for a new tranny. Most of them so far will do the filter/pan drop service without hesitation, "Yup, do them all the time, no problem."

Default They accepted the work, they must do it properly. Lots of CYA at these dealerships when something

gets screwed up. Best of luck to you on Monday!!!

Default Got that one right. "Sure, drive it home." Well, as I explained the the SA and GM,

I have two significant inclines on the freeways home. I know I'd have toasted whatever is left of the tranny. I don't think they filled it all the way. And I sure they know once I drove off with it, my position would have weakened. Right now still having trouble getting a good ZF link. I want to make sure they only used one tranny that year so I can show them EXACTLY that the service info goes to my unit, uhh, tranny. I'm so aggravated my search skills, which aren't always great, are kinda out the window.

Default Anyone have a current copy or working link to the ZF service info? I've gone through

Stoney's links, A8 forum, etc, and all the links to ZF either come up "HTTP404" or password protected. Not to mention, they're in German.

Default trans flush and filter change at 30 and 60k still no issues, getting ready to do it again at 90k

if you wait longer than that chances are you'll have problems....ain't no fluid made to last longer than 30k period....sorry you're having problems

Default Thanks, but what I needed is the service info that used to be posted showing

ZF's own recommendation for changing. All the prior links on Stoney's FAQ seem to have died.
