Ok, just installed UUC short shifter on tuesday...the instructions state that there should be a sping w/ a plastic bullet that will pop out when removing the assembly...I did not see any spring or plastic bullet come out...am I missing something here? I reassebled everything and it seems to be working fine...BTW I set it at 40%...nice cleaner shifts.

The Nov. issue of Roundel had a lengthy article about the various short shift kits available for BMWs. As I recall, UCC was considered the best.

There were also many photos. Maybe some of them would assist you.
