vehicle build sheet?
When I owned a domestic (chevy) I was able to bring my VIN number to a dealer who printed out all of the detailed information regarding my specific vehicle (every option, paint codes, etc). Can I get one of these for my a-6 2.8? My local dealer says it cannot be done...

Go to www.audiusa.com...
Go to "My Audi" and register your car with the VIN number. It will provide you with a list of options for your car but you won't get information like paint codes.
For option codes look in your maintenance manual (if you have one) for a sticker with all the codes or look in your trunk for a sticker near your spare tire.
