Default Vehicle information display

I have been having a wierd problem with the center display on the dash of my 01 2.7T. Especially when it is hot (at least when I notice it) there are lines of the display missing, but in different spots. Sometimes there are lines through the temp, sometimes towards the bottom, sometimes nothing.
Anyone else? Sound like something CPO warranty would cover?

Unfortunately, I am not an expert but from what I have read and know from an old a4 that I owned the only way to fix it is with a new instrument cluster. From some other posts that I have read, it seems that it happens to some displays with age. Others might be able to back me up on this.
good luck

Mine wasn't CPO but dealer replaced it anyway under the warranty I had left. Dealer price for the instrument cluster was over $400
