W.T.F.!! Can you no longer get an A6 in a six-speed??
I was goofing around on the audi.com site trying to configure a new car, and could not configure an a6 2.7T with a six speed. Please, say it ain't so!!

that is correct, from the site the only car offered is the 2.7T Sline only offered in
automatic... i know the 2.7T allroads are still offered in 6 speed so i wonder if you can custom order a 2.7T 6 speed still.. audi's just trying to make room to bring in the new A6.

There is a 2004 A6 2.7T/6-speed on my dealer's lot. Audi's
site is not known for it's accuracy. Ask your dealer for particulars...it may be a "order only" availability.
The car I saw is Dolphin Grey with Ebony interior, 6-speed, winter package, leather sports seats, sunroof.
Cheers,

I could be wrong but I thought one could no longer order a new one...
not that there aren't 2004 6-speeds but...
But, you are definitely right, the site is often wrong...just as the site still shows that one can configure a 2003 S6 Avant!

Local dealer says he may still able to special order one.
Not for long though, if that is the case. Production of the A6 is winding down. The tranny used in the A6 is the last of it's kind. The new S4 uses a different one.
Kind of like the old pearl white - not on any option guide.

will the new model be offered in a 6 speed?
I am quite happy with my '01 and plan to keep it at least until '06. just curious whether I will be able to pick up the newer model in a six speed.
took a great ride up the PA turnpike yesterday. It is amazing how quick this car is, and that there is plenty of acceleration left north of 90 mph.
