Well, the saga ends Saturday - my wife's new A6 3.0 Avant will be 'delivered' on Saturday, with bow!
Saturday is her birthday, and the dealer is driving about 70 miles down to deliver it to us. Apparently we have a big red bow for it, so it should be a nice cheesy surprise. Too bad I can only enjoy the car myself for two days before I leave on a business trip! Might have to steal it on Saturday afternoon...

You can always make fun of no dot in my absense - someone will have to...
Besides, I might peek in here and there, after all, I will be gone for 10 days, then back for three, then gone for 4 more...no Audi-time for me

Reminds me of that HILARIOUS Carl's Jr commercial a while back
Two guys trying to eat hamburgers in a restaurant and like 6 people in ridiculous TGI Friday's-like outfits are singing that stupid song and making hand gestures, sparkler on the cake and the whole deal. Great commercial! That's the one I want them to sing.

It actually went much better than anticipated...I wasn't expecting crying though!
We had just done the dinner thing...got back, did the "Let's Make a Deal"-thing...which she bought entirely...thinking it made a difference which question she picked, which envelope she picked, and ultimately which bag she picked...she was very nervous "giving up" the Denver-Dolphin trip for what could possibly be in the bag...not knowing that all 3 "prizes" in the envelopes were the Dolphin tickets, and all 3 in the bags were the Italy trip and Dolphin tickets...plus a few other things like "Runts", smiley-face gumballs, and of course, the new Kelly Clarkson CD 
Can't wait for the full album to come out in November!!! 
Now I've gotta get plane tickets to Denver...can't waste those $289 football seats! Yikes, I've never even scalped tickets for that price! I wanted to do the "luxury suite" thing...but that is mega-bucks and I think 2 people in a luxury suite is pretty odd...the Fins better win! The Italy trip is cheap relatively...
