Default it depends on what you plan on doing with the car...

but suspension, wheels and exhaust seem to be some common upgrades..

Default This motor really benefits from a free flowing exhaust. I got some Borla straight throughs and had

them welded in while still using stock tailpipes. Huge difference and very cost effective while being completely stealthy. Don't mess with the intake as it can throw MAF readings off and potentially cause the ECU to intervene and eliminate the gains. FWIW, my car G-Teched faster than the factory published numbers of an S6. Just $.02.

Default FWIW, did the same on my 2.7T. Eibachs/Bilsteins/H-Sports are the perfect suspension mod, IMHO. :)

Default quick note..I've heard this many times before...but a NA motor will lose some low end

torque with an aftermarket exhaust but pick up power higher up on the rpm scale, but with a turbo motor, an exhaust is a must... here is a great article written by some turbo engineer at Garrett Turbo

Default In general, yes. The trick is to keep the stock piping and resonator on these cars and just lose

muffler which is over engineering to quiet the motor down. G Tech times speak for themselves.

Default I thought it is a little stiff IMHO in most condition

and downright jiggly in the rough stuff; but when in the mood to play; it's about as perfect as I can ask for from a sedan. The downside is that those times don't come by very often and is harsh impact is hard on the stuctural rigidity. Well, you gain some and lose some is always to case. As with the exhaust I personally believe there is little gain in performance but it does make the car sound faster, I think it is more mental than actual.

Which Borla's did you get and are they much louder than the stock mufflers?

It is all subjective. It feels about as rough as the B6 S4 to my German tastes in tauntness.
