What 's the R/T button on the steering wheel do?

If you have the Audi analog phone, it toggles between phone and radio functions.
This was a mid-year change on 2000s. Earlier builds used the two bottom buttons on the wheel for changing betweeen radio station presets or discs loaded in the optional trunk-mounted CD changer. Interestingly, once they switched to the phone buttons, all A6s with steering wheel audio controls got the phone buttons, whether or not the optional phone was ordered. In most such cars, the buttons are useless as few actually came with the phone.
