They'd been creaking for a while but I didn't realize there was so much slop in them.

yup-- car was 'fun to drive' again when i got mine done.
guess you don't realize how much things gradually wear out over time. I was at 80,000 and would have never changed them if they were not creaking.

Creaking while turning and on fast corners the inside wheel made a knocking noise.
During normal driving I didn't really notice much of a problem. Got used to the slop over time I guess since it was a slow gradual thing. Now it's tight and on-center is rock solid (vague before).
