Oh damn my heart aches for that car!

Though "only" 6,200 rpm? I'd have thought the engine capable of higher revs than that. I like the high-revving NA engine scheme. A lot.

Default When you have 6.0L12 cylinders under the hood in a luxury sedan setting, you really don't

have any needs to rev high to get the power you need.

Default Audi make it in both L and regular versions. Some markets will only get one variant.

Given that you don't get any regular A8s in the US yet, I'd expect that the 6.0L will be your only option, unless AoA decide to change their mind on that. I still don't know if Audi UK will bring the regular 6.0 here, I think their demo cars are going to all be Ls.

The news gets worse though - rumour has it that there are two factions within Audi who are arguing if the 4.2 V8 turbo or 5.0 V10 engine should be in the next S8. Yes, plans are afoot (if you believe the rumour) for a new S8. Either way, it's expected that it will produce more than the 450PS and 580Nm of the W12...

Default To some extent...but one of those and my Z3 (or an Elise!) would suit me fine.

Just back off! Leave me to wallow in my duplicities alone; no need to make fun of an old man.

I'll take Larry's side on this. I'm no fan of land barges either, but the A8 just melts my heart.

Default I guess you need something to haul that big ole camera around with...

I'm jealous, my S50 is nice for a pocket camera, but I really really want a dSLR now...

Default Re: S50 Pics...

Very nice, but after using a borrowed Kodak 14n for a month, I really miss the speed and accuracy of the focus, shots per second, etc, not to mention the image quality.

No doubt the S50 takes some great images for the little camera it is, but I sure liked the SLR performance. The 14n was pretty severly handicapped in anything but full daylight, but it was a look into the dSLR world. I'd love a D10 with an L 24-70 lense... Something to plan for, I think.
