Default I have them and am quite happy with them for my purposes

I have them on an S6, I have about 10k on them at the moment and they are still better in noise and comfort than the OEM Conti Sports were when new. Although they are not summer performance tires, handling is very good. I drive very hard at times and there is never any squeel. For reference, tires on my other cars (all more sporting than the S6) include SO3's, Pilot sports, and TA KD's, so I have some reference for reasonably sticky street tires. At 10k the tires still have 7 to 8/32nds of their original 10/32. In my experience the wear goes faster in the later portion of a tire life but so far I'm quite satisfied with the wear rate, particularly for a high speed rated tire.

Default I have had them for a few years now...

had the original db and now the later iteration. The first ones developed a bit of a buzz due to feathering and was quite a bit of an annoyance. The dealer replaced them, free of charge, with the current S2 and they have been much better.

However, after about 10k they did get a bit noisier than new. If you are looking for these tires solely for the db feature I would shelve that plan and go with another tire.

I ended up getting winter tires as the AVS db is really are not suitable for winter use. They are better than a 3 season tire but far from comparably to a pure winter tire. (I use Dunlop M3 16" for winter use - they are great)

My next 3 season tire will not be the AVS S2.
