Prestige sells new Acuras, Subarus, VWs & BMWs. Didn't know they worked on Audis.

Default Write a letter to the owner and explain to him what kind of morons he has working for him and

your intentions to notify the BBB about their deceptive practice. As a side note, "If it sounds to good to be true it probably is". Make it a habit to really pin people down so that it is clearly understood by all, what is going to be done and how much its going to cost. Its a shame you have to do that but it seems thats the only way to get hassle free service.

That's consumer fraud, in my book. Contact your state attorney general's office.

Default Correct. They're also authorized to do warranty work and factory-paid...

...scheduled maintenance on Audis. Apparently when they gave up their franchise to sell new Audis a number of years ago they hung on to their factory servicing authorization.

Clearly documented bait and switch. If you have the time, follow up as others suggest.

Default Agreed! Technically not bait and switch; but, deceptive and illegal. And if I might add

just a generally scummy thing to do!

Default In regard to your situation...

I think it's bull****. The fact that the coupon that they issued didn't cover the cost of what they where doing is not your fault (or concern really). You mentioned being in business for yourself, and in my business if I screw up 9 times out of 10 I have to eat my mistake for the sake of making the customer happy.

If I where you, i'd escalate the problem by writing a letter to the owner of the dealership, copying the service manager and AOA.

Default Typical behaviour of Most Audi dealers I have dealt with.

This type of "Customer comes last" type of treatment is very normal. I've tried calling AoA many times when I've had things like this happen. The clerks that answer the phones don't care and neither does Audi.
