I'm not sure. The model in Taiwan is as same as Germany. The engineer tole me if you do not change the PIN and computer setting then you will get error code and some function will not work because the configuration in the computer is different. Wish this could help.

I was think go around the pin and computer just to wire the led to a new wire and connect them to the fog light and everything else remain the same. dont know if that would be an easy solution.

Sorry I mean... Can I put part # 4F0 941 029 and 4F0 941 030 in a 2006 A6? What's the difference between 4F0 941 029 CS, 4F0 941 029 DK, and 4F0 941 029 AM?

Get the bulbs and ballast for $369
I think I found a way to upgrade to the 2009+ LED headlight for a little less money. The headlights themselves are expensive, but then you get the surprise of finding out you need new ballasts and bulbs too if you're upgrading on a 2008 or earlier A6.
Ballast: 8K0 941 597 (2 needed)
Bulbs: D3S (2 needed)
A set of the above is >$1000. Then I found this eBay auction. All the parts you need (minus the headlight housing) for $369. The ballasts are made by mitsubishi, but check out the pictures yourself, they have the correct Audi part number right on them!
D3S are supposedly eco-friendly as they don't contain mercury, but the operating voltage also seems to be different, hence the need for a different ballast.
I finally decided that I'm going to do it... think I'm going with Europrice for the actual headlights. Will report back.

ceifro... great job!!!
quick question for anyone who can help... i have a 2005 A6 4.2 (s-line, xeon headlights)... i would like to add these headlights to my car and would like to know what's involved. Mainly, do I need to replace the ballast for my car?
