Default 2005+ A6 3.2 ?

Hello everyone,

I didn't want to take over someone elses thread to ask this question.

But I look every where and there all these upgrade engine and chip wise for the 2.7T.

How come there are none for the 3.0 or 3.2 ext. Are they building are they to new. Well it's been 5 years. Even thou i want the power of a 2.7t, and i'v posted before im not good fixing car plus once i buy part to upgrade the 2.7t i would have to save more to have them install all the part. So i going to get a 2005 3.2.

So in short how come no upgrades for 2005 and above models. I'd looked on APR, and i dont even see the the APR Anti-Theft System for 2005+ models. But i love this group and site.

Cpluse(i posted this in audiforums too)

Upgrades on a NA engine tend to be tough. Plus the 3.2 is not an enthusiasts car, which cuts down on market size.

It is also much easier to get more power out of a forced induction engine than a normally aspirated one. Audi has done almost all they can to get as much as possible out of the stock engine so there is not much more to be done unless you can force more air into the cylinders.

Plus you guys seem to forget that the 2.7T engine was also used in the B5 S4 which is a very modded platform. The A6 2.7T is just a happy beneficiary of the upgrades for the engine. And if you wait just a short while, since the 3.0T is used in the B8 S4, the A6 3.0T will benefit from the mods developed for that engine as well.

Thanks again guy for clearing this up for me.

Now i understand allot more. Ya i think i will enjoy the 3.2 and learn the up and downs of audi , and when the 2009 3.0T come down in price and more mile i look into that in the future.

To me that sound like a solid game plan. It's funny when i didn't want a audi i say them every where, now that i want a A6 either i don't see them or there all A4. To funny.

From 255 you can get it to roughly 275-280hp.

PES makes a chip for the 3.2 www. pes-tuning .com chip makes 20HP, then you can do a exhaust and grab about 5hp.

I'm in the market for one right now but i'v decided to go with the 4.2, because in the long run I would pay another 3-5k for a supercharger or turbo kit for the 3.2 so I figure you might aswell just shop for the 4.2 from now. especially because you can have the 4.2 running in S6 territory if money turns out well in the next few years.

335 PES Chip + 20HP = 355 PES stage 1+ supercharger kit= 105HP = 460HP!!!!!!
