2006 A6 3.2 - anyone do lowering springs AND swaybar(s)?
Still decicding about whether to install front and/or rear sway bars when installing Eibach pro-kit springs. Any experience or suggestions?

I have Eibach springs and H&R rear sway bar. I did the sway bar myself, but took it to a ship for shocks/springs install.
I'd think the install of the rear sway bar is independent of the springs install.

What do you think of the Eibachs? Did you replace the shocks with Eibachs?
Do you have pictures of the car with the springs now? What wheels are you running?
I had Eibachs on my B5 A4 and didn't like them at all. They dropped more than advertised and didn't help the performance that well.
Lastly, what do you think about the sway bar?

I had the Eibachs in my 2001 S4 and they were excellent. Dropped the car the advertised amount. I now have them in my 2006 A6 and they also dropped the car the advertised amount although I would have them to drop it a bit lower. These cars are really high on the stock springs. I currently run the facroty 18" wheels in the winter and have a set of 19" S8 replica rims for the summer. It definately changes the whole appearence of the car with a set of wheels and rolling stock. I never really thought about doing the sway bar though. Does it make a real noticeable difference?

I replaced the stock shocks with Koni's. I like this setup. Car felt it had improved handling and cornered better. The rear sway bar make the car tight around corners and gives it a more solid feel.
I need to upgrade my wheels/tires which I plan to do in spring. I have 17 inch all-seasons right now. I plan to get put 19 inch performance summer tires.

I replaced springs only with Eibachs, and they are exactly a 2in. drop. I think they advertise them as 1.2in drop. I think it's a perfect drop, as I can barely fit 2 fingers bet tire and fender. They ride comfortably - not much diff than stock until I put the 19's on - then you really notice the difference.

Doesn't the 06 have air ride? I only have springs on my front,
My rears have no springs... Does this mean I have air ride?
Was planning on lowering it but new coilover system wouldn't work
on the air ride system.

your rear spring is seperate from your strut... different than the front. i would look again to the left/right of the strut for a spring... if you had air suspension it would be all the way around... not just front. let us know what you find... im curious
