3.2L Cam Follower Is Bad
I pulled the HPFP from my 08 Audi A6 3.2L as I was getting an engine code for low fuel pressure. When I pulled the pump, I looked at the cam follower and the end was broken off.
What does this mean for the engine? Is the engine going to crap out from the metal pieces in there or will an oil change help? Is the cam going to be screwed from the lobe running of the head of the pump piston?
I bought this car at auction and I'm wondering how screwed (if at all) I am from this.
Thanks,
Ian
