A6 C6 2005 multimedia upgrade?
So I have a 2005 A6 C6 4F, and I am looking for different methods for upgrading the multimedia system. Currently it has the MMI Basic system, and according to my knownledge it's just "Basic", not Basic Plus or 2G/3G or whatever, aka the one with least features, single CD player and radio etc. I'm mainly looking for an USB/AUX input so I don't need my own music to CD in order to play it. So far I have found few solutions, but most of them aren't compatible with the MMI Basic. It seems that there's just few methods, like upgrading to MMI High which costs over 1k EUR or installing a Dension Gateway 500, but I am unsure if the Dension fits the MMI Basic, by researching I just found guides for MMI Basic Plus.
Any tips?

I am unsure if that fits, since I think I have just 'MMI Basic' and that is for 'MMI Basic 2G'. Or is 'MMI Basic' even a thing, or is it the same as the 2G one? I fail to find any information about the 'MMI Basic', everything just leads to the 2G.

You need to verify that you are indeed MMI 2G. My info screen said it was MMI 2G HIGH.
After looking all over, this is the easiest way to go.
All other options are either half baked, or overly involved/expensive.
This taps right in to your existing fiberoptic cable behind your CD player in the glove box and powertaps off that as well. It shows up as an extra CD in your menu.
You can reach in from underneath the footwell without having to remove the player. I was up and running in 30minutes.
There is a new version with bluetooth already. That would be the best way to go so you are not plugging in cables.
Cheers

Well that is for MMI High and I have Basic. After spending lots of time searching info I am pretty certain that the only ways I can get AUX/USB input to MMI Basic is a Gateway 500 unit (Easily over 500€ here) or upgrading the whole system to MMI High (Most likely over 1000€ + installation fees). So I guess I am sticking to burning music onto CDs until I'm gonna switch my car.
Kinda weird that such a popular car has so limited upgrades available in the media section, or well there's lots of them (for MMI High), but seriously none for MMI Basic.

Well now I found this: Audio interface for Audi MMI 2G NAVISERVICE VNSmedia
I emailed them and they told me that it is indeed AUX input and will work on even single CD player system. So it seems this is what I am going to get. Does anyone have this, does it work and how is the installation? Judging from the image it looks pretty straight forward fit.
