Default ABS ECU Replacement

Hi, it's my first quesion in this forum, pls be gentle ! =)

I Have a busted ABS ECU, so im looking to replace the ABS ECU, i have managed to get a spare, however im not sure if the new one can be used,

Fitted part has the following numbers on the sticker on the ECU
4F0910517K009 & 4F0614517K05

New part has the same first number, but second number is 5F0614517K05 so its a difference of the two first letters in the second "item number", is it just a "serial" or might i experience som issues changing out with this ECU ?
All answers appriciated. =)

When it comes to the electronics in the break system, I would caution towards exact replacement. There may be slight differences between C6 models. One example I discovered was motor mounts. There are changes, not only between years, but also motor sizes.
Just my .02. I just did this repair, and was lucky to find a seller that had an exact replacement, and gave me a sweet discount for saving it my ebay watch list.

As I learned the hard way there are two basic models - Quattro and FWD. Within those two there are various coding options. I tried a replacement out of a junkyard with no luck. I then found a guy in Kansas who repaired the original for $250 this past spring. Cheap-abs.com service was excellent. Getting the unit in and out was PIA, but his instructions are good.

I was trying to use him, but he was not taking orders. Maybe now, but Like I mentioned above, just make sure you have exact part numbers and you should be good, as long as the part is good.
