Advanced key / wife's purse in trunk
My wife and I both carry keys (advanced) to my '07 S-Line. Quite often, we park, my wife puts her purse in the boot (with the Advanced key inside), I lock the vehicle and we head off.
I just dawned on me that the car may be sitting there unlocked (or pseudo-unlocked until someone touches a handle or trys to open the trunk) while we're away.
Surely someone has been in this situation. Before I go home and test it out, does anyone have any thoughts?

Not a very reassuring thought....Can you actually hear the doors lock with her key in the trunk?
Give it a test. Put her key in the trunk, lock the car, walk away and let her try to open the trunk or door. I know that my car won't lock if I leave my key inside. I usually lock it by using the button under the door handle. You could try locking it that way and if she can get in, try locking it with the button on your key. Maybe it's smart enough to know which key locks the car, don't know.....
I'd be interested to know what you find out!

Just remembered to go down and test it out.
Those sneaky Germans - somehow the car knows it's in the truck as opposed to outside it.
Put the second key in the trunk, locked the car and walked away. Put my key down and went back to the car - couldn't open it no matter what I tried.
Case closed.
