Default Anyone have a spare plastic shifter 'surround' or part number?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for the following plastic piece the gear shifter leather cover wraps around on a C6 tip shifter. It's the black plastic piece that's shown in the picture below - the one outlined in RED and has the various staples in it holding the leather gear shift cover in place.

If anyone has a spare or knows the part number I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Thanks!

ETKA shows the leather sleeve and the plastic part as one part. Unless you go to a junkyard there is no way to get it separately.

You are on the right track.. The piece you are looking for only comes with the shifter boot, not as a separate piece.

I would suggest getting with someone familiar with Audis to take a look at it and have them make a recommendation.

Good luck!

As a follow-up, it appears that the plastic piece is sold as part of the leather gear cover and the only way to 'fix' it, will be to scavenge another gear cover, remove the staples, then affix the new leather to the scavenged plastic piece.

I'll try some junkyards and such and see what I turn-up.

Worst case if you PM me your VIN we can source you the exact one that came in your vehicle.
