Automatic sunshade in auto mode should work better

Automatic sunshade in auto mode should work better
for those who have the option and understand what I mean:
When the car is in reverse, the sunshade automatically lowers (an mmi setting), returning to the up position after driving is resumed. a good feature in theory. Problem with mine is that it takes several seconds of driving forward in order for the shade to rise. So, if you are trying to slightly adjust your position in a parking space by shifting into reverse, then back to drive (for just a second or two), the sunshade stays down.

Same as the mirror
Would you rather have the shade go up and down and up and down if you are backing into a spot and it takes more than one adjustment, such as with parallel parking?
I am sure the sunshade is on the same logic as the right mirror. If you try this with a BMW you'll see the mirror flopping up and down madly, which is fun enough; having the sunshade to the same would be even cooler.

Re: True. but the idea of the auto feature is that you dont have to worry about it.
lol...It's kind like going to the "john" and forgetting to "zip your fly", but I sure am glad I don't have automatic zippers if you "catch" the old "drift" (new term for you know what !):>..hey, you started this! Man, Lifes A Beach!

You might want to read your manual over and double check the intended operation in Auto...
I believe its the same as the A8. Shade automatically extends when the car is turned on and retracts when it is shut off.

Re: Automatic sunshade in auto mode should work better
It would probably wear out the motor faster in the long run...are you sure just pressing the button again before you turn the car off is such a big deal?

Or just leave it in manual mode. that's the point i was trying to make
the sunshade is fine. it's the Auto Mode that could work better. Geez, audi owners sure dont take criticism well!!! lol. thanks for your response.
