Central Locking switch on passenger side !?

Central Locking switch on passenger side !?
On some of the recent S6 pictures (e.g. see link) I see a central locking switch on both driver and passenger side (inside door panel). I have never seen this on European A6's. Is it S6 only, or do A6's have that as well? Or is it US/Canada only? Or is it recent (2007 models)?
