Default Clicking from drivers side when turning clockwise.

Hi all, I have a 2011 A6 3.0 (21k miles) and now when I turn to the right, I get a clicking that becomes faster or slower depending on speed when turning. It sounds extra bad when turning sharp such as into a parking space. Almost like a 3-click really quickly when I am going slow like that and turning sharply.

I took it to Audi and they can hear the sound but found nothing mechanically wrong.

I did some searching and found these posts and at this point when Audi calls back, if they ever do I am going to ask them to recheck the front control arm bushings, CV's under the boots, and wheel bearings.

Anything else you can think of? Thanks!

I fixed that by turning up the stereo.

I think mine is a wheel bearing which is a common weak point for the A6 and sometimes difficult to pinpoint by a mechanic.

Not sure if it will help but cut the wheel to bad side and drive in reverse, usually bad CV joints make more noise in reverse.

I took the car back today to the dealership and they did some more looking and did replace a wheel bearing. I hope we are done with this issue. Unfortunately they gave me a brand new A6 for a loaner...it was really nice. Although I like the temperature controls in mine better.

i hope the wheel bearing is the fix but i would have pointed u twds the CV boots

when my wheel bearing went bad on my c6... it was UNMISTAKABLE that it was the wheel bearing... i am no mechanic but i was 99% sure it WB

i had a almost grinding noise that turned to whirring noise with higher speeds

when i had my c5 i did have clicking sound and that was my CV boot
