What code readers are you guys using? I'm looking to purchase a basic one for resetting service lights and checking codes.
The pro v checker from ecs seems to be a good package, but I've read that the ross-tech system is worth the extra money. Also hear it's hit and miss with the ebay vag-com lap top cords. Some of the ebay cords have cd's but other don't seem to so I assume you have to down load the ross tech software from their website ($99?).
Just wanted to get some feedback/advice from anyone who's been in the same situation and how your decision has been working for you.

Alternatively you can buy one among several audi owners and share or find someone with the cable close to you and work out a deal where you can use it in exchange for something else. I help more then one person with the tool.
