Default Is condensation in the headlights normal?

I saw some condensation in one of my headlights (not both) after driving in some heavy rain. Since the other headlight wasn't affected, I'm assuming that this isn't normal. But I was told by a service advisor that this is expected and normal since these headlights aren't sealed.

I have adaptive bi-xenon's, but I don't think that should matter.

do something with that nasty orange marker, i blacked out mine. The headlight issue, I had the same thing happen to me, there is a fix, the cover has to sit perfectly on the housing, take it off and clean the edges and put it back on, make sure you hear the click. That should work for you, my tech told me that usually these caps dont sit right on the housing.

The orange marker is a safety feature - why paint it black?

Back to the water condensation...

There should be two clicks as there are two clips on the headlight housing cover. It is a little difficult to fully close it and maybe that's why some of these covers are loose. I had the same issue and lost an HID bulb eventually.

To make sure that it's water-tight, I sprayed silicone lubricant on the gasket before closing the cover.

I vote not normal. No condensation in ours and we live in the Pacific Northwest.

I've had some slight condensation occur before, but not to that extent. That seems like way too much - light fogging is normal, water droplets is not.

Normal, no. Common, yes.

In every case I've seen or heard about it has been a loose back cover. Take it off, clean it off, maybe spray something on the gasket, and make sure that it clicks back into place properly.

That implies that it can't be fixed like jants13, zzz4, and utripn have claimed...
