It is NOT OK to insert V4. the MMI software explicitly states it.

still problems
I have a new/different dvd nav unit installed in my car and have the MMI unit
updated to I hope is most current update. Along with 2008/2009 dvd disc. this unit is doing the same exact thing as the old one. It shows the map on the MMI screen and says navigation not active. I also look to see if any of satellites are being received and it show zero. I wondering if the old dvd/navi unit had anything wrong with it! I thinking maybe its the antenna
for the satellites. Any body know what to look for or how to test this?
Also does anyone know what is the most current update is on the MMI?

I just wanted to thank everyone that has replied.I replaced the antenna and my problem is solved.Everything is working great! I wonder if it couldn't have been the antenna for the start.
