Effect on mileage after muffler delete
While I don't worry about mileage, I'm wondering what effect its going to have on the mpg.
Any ideas anyone?

I replaced with the same item (#35174) on my 06 4.2!
From a sound perspective...yes it IS louder. It sounds like a V8 should IMHO. It goes from not even being able to hear the engine and throttle, with the mufflers on the car. To one, where every time you rev the engine you will definitely hear it! On the freeway, it sounds stock, but in city traffic you hear it quite a bit more. I really like it, so do many of the folks I've had ride in it. However, the female population who has ridden in the car is bimodal...some like it, some don't.
As for mpg, well I'm getting about the same mileage. About 20mpg, on mostly city traffic (70% city/30% hwy)

Yea, I think the sound is just amazing, no drone and its kinda like the loud exhaust is on demand!

Thanks for your input raj99, I think I might get the same grille too!!

The second question, how much to install. It should not cost more than $100. Since, the ones for sale have already been customized to fit. You will need to cut out the existing mufflers and then have the new tips welded into place. It's pretty easy to do, since you can drop the pipes quite a bit to gain 360 access to the weld joints.
Be prepared for the sound. I have no idea what they sound like on a 3.2, since mine are on my 4.2

You could also consult the shop, they usually have smaller resonated tips in stock.
All the best!
