Emergency Triangle Light On

Emergency Triangle Light On
2005 Audi A6 3.2L with 135K miles.
I just noticed today that after I turned the car off, locked it and walked away from it that the small red emergency triangle button was illuminated. I do not recall this being lit before. All other lights were off, but this stayed on for about 3-4 minutes.
I unlocked, relocked, pressed it and it did flash but still it stayed on for much longer than I feel comfortable.
Just concerned that if it comes on or stays on when I'm not aware that this will start to drain the battery.
Anyone else seen this before?

The hazard triangle light stays on for a while, I was concerned the first time I saw it too...normal.
On the fog light question, on my 2005 4.2, the fogs would not work with the parking lights. With my VAG I just enabled them, now they do.

It been reported that if you enable the fogs with vag then the Emergency triangle switch stays lit for couple of minutes. Once the settings are reversed, everything works fine.
