Default Engine running cold

Hello. My Audi A6 2006 3.0 TDI recently started struggling hitting 90'C. On longer drives it stays for the most part in the 70'C-area, however it sometimes goes up to 90 and then maybe down again. I get hot air inside the car and no fault codes. The car has about 340 000 km and is located in Northern Norway, so it is quite cold, but it hasn't been an issue previously. I am thinking it might be the thermostat that might need changing? But as I understand there are two types since it is an automatic? Which one should I try to get replaced first? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I had similar problem, and it end up being bad thermostat.
It was stuck open creating big loop for coolant when it was not necessary.
