I just purchased my first Audi, a 2007 A6 3.2 quattro, and wondering if anyone has purchased an extended warranty. The dealer offered a warranty during the purchase, but wanted $3500 for 3yr/36k mi platinum warranty - seemed high. The vehicle has 42k miles on it; looking for a 3yr plan. Has anyone purchased and had good experience with an extended warranty? Does Audi offer one to purchase (other than one offered at sale)?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to being a part of the Audi community.
