So I finally put bigger wheels on the car. I was originally thinking of installing a coilover set as well -- but now that i look at the setup i think i can do without (the roads in VT are horrible and i am not sure i can stand the stiff/harsh ride).

I purchased 5 sets wheels and tires. Already put about 160 miles on them and the ride quality is almost identical to having the 17in wheels on. Maybe that's because i still have the stock suspension.

The wheels are TSW Vortex 19x8 32mm offset -- tires are Toyo Proxies T1R's 255x35x19. Comments welcome.

Very knowledgeable crew... put in my TPMS sensors without a glitch. Had the alignment and everything done all at once

Is your A6 with sports suspension or without it??

if i'm not mistaken the only suspension options for our cars is the sline or non-sline. My A6 is non-sline

Thanks.. it doesn't look lifted at all.. I think i'll go with 19" wheels without upgrading suspensions.

If you install the 19 inch on the stock suspension, it'll look lifted.

in looking on audiusa -- there is nothing mentioned regarding a sport non-sline suspension for the 4.2. The only option available is either 18in or 19in sline wheel option.

In 2005 a debadged s-line was an option, ie sport suspension without s-line badging
