I used alcohol to remove oil residues from the cylinder head sealing surfaces.

I installed the valve cover on the driver's side and torqued the bolts to 9 Nm following the sequence as shown here: youtube.com/watch?v=94-kTXahcxs&t=23m06s

Then I gently connected the breather hose.

Before installing the valve cover on the passenger's side, I installed the fuel sensor holder screw I removed earlier to be able to pull out the cam girdle. The magnetic pen head was useful here too.

I torqued it to 10 Nm.

Caution! Caution! The vacuum hose that comes from the back of the engine and connects to the vacuum pump up front normally passes under the breather hose. I did not realize this until later when I was connecting the vacuum hoses and noticed something wasn't right. I then had to remove the valve cover again to be able to pass the vacuum hose under the breather hose. So make sure you pass the vacuum hose under the breather hose at this point.

Replacing spark plugs and installing ignition coils

I first removed all spark plugs.
