It took a local shop a week to get my car done and cost a ton but it does drive much better at 110k with all new Bilsteins B8s and new sway bars they ended up having to cut all the control arms off so all new ones and new sway bar links. Unfortunately after all that there is a popping that I have to have it re-looked at now.

like sharkwood I'm in Northern new england and we are just getting into that wonderful combination of late winter frost heaves and early spring potholes from some warming weather - all at the same time. My 11 a6 avant which I've only had a month seems to be tossing around more than I expected with these road variations. I'm not going to change springs/lower car so wondering if anyone with similar roads has perspective on the changes with just a new sway bar. not sure if they would make it worse, don't think it would make it better? Thanks

I can only say having done the front and rear H&R sway bars installed on the tightest setting that it made a huge difference in the roll of my A6, I got the B8 Bilsteins done a little later and the popping I had must have been just a loose nut as they tightened everything and it has been good to go since. Here where I am the winters are hit or miss and I though for sure we would be due for a doozie this year but not really. I can say that I had 0 issues getting around in even 1/2" ice with snow on top, granted I went from new Michelin AS3+ to Conti DWS06 for tires (long story). But cornering on some KY backroads etc has been a lot of fun for sure. Even with ECS turned off it is hard to play in the snow and ice it wants to stick to the ground and not break loose at all.
