Default Has any one else have bent valve on their C6 3.2?

So i had the rear timing covers sealed when i found out that my passenger flex pipe cracked.

i thought i was done with the engine leaking but turns out despite changing the valve cover gaskets the problem persisted. After further examination it was determined that the vacuum pump was leaking along with the O rings and the valves were bent causing oil to leak into the spark plugs chamber. Surprisingly it didn't throw any faults. The car has 124500K Miles its a 2007 C6 with a 3.2 L engine.

Part number for passenger side

Bent Engine Valve Covers

Gasket for vacuum pump
To fix the issue i had to buy two new valve covers for the engine part numbers
06E103472L passenger
06E103471G driver

get the o rings gasket
2 gaskets for your vacuum pump.
And a set of new engine valve covers. ECS has them for $203 a piece.

It would seam to me that you could have a machine shop true up the cam covers for a lot less than $200. They just need a little milling to make them straight again.

"the valves were bent causing oil to leak into the spark plugs chamber."

This is complete nonsense. Sounds to me like your valves are fine.

But to answer the question, I've replaced bent valves on the 3.2, but only after some sort of chain guide failure. It's actually easier to get the valves out than on the 30v engines.

Not sure if I follow the post. I had the flex exaust coupling cracked. It caused the car to make quite louder noise when the engine was under load. There was no error codes.

I think the OP is just posting about warped cam covers, not sealing even with new gaskets. I believe that his "bent valve" is meant to be "warped cam covers"..

If the leak is significant, you will sometimes see a catalyst efficiency code.

Yes I'm talking about my warped cam covers or valve cover same thing. The flex pipe did make a horrible noise but no codes. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...ft/06e103471g/

The post is about valve covers and if anyone else had these issues at this mileage or age of the car.
