HID Bulb Replacement
Today, I did a vcds scan of my car, to see how things are after I recently completed a whole bunch of maintenance items.
I found out that my right headlight is not working. I really didn't notice them any dimmer, lately, at night.
Vcds told my that it eas either an open or a short. I checked the fuse, & it's intact.
So, I'm guessing that I need a new bulb.
I read in bentley that I should disconnect the battery to change the bulb.
I'm thinking that just pulling the fuse would provide a good level of safe guard. Will it?

Thanks!
I picked up a bulb at advance auto & put it in this afternoon. The only real nuisance that I had was twisting the HV starter back into it's clips. I'm not sure that i got it all the way back on tight, but everything is working just fine.
In the end, I'm still surpised that I didn't originally get any dash warning lights, to tell me that bulb was out. I was only notified by vcds by chance, while I was foing an "auto scan" for other reasons. Eventually, I would have caught it anyway, but I am surprised that there were no dash alerts.
