Anybody add a hitch to their A6 for a bike rack?

Draw-Tie and CURT both make a compatible hitch.

They are both 1 1/4" and are easy to install -- no drilling.

I got mine on Amazon because I needed it quick and get free shipping.

I think that Pep boys can also get it and I think they will install for about $50.00

I want to add a 2" receiver, not necessarily for towing anything large, but for a bike rack that won't sway. I just don't like how 1.25" hold up to heavy bikes. That said, there are no bolt-on options for that on our cars. There are places that will make custom hitches, but that comes out to about $500. I wonder if there's a way to modify the CURT version.

Maybe I can take it to a welder and have them cut off the receiver and weld a new 2" version on.
