I just had the dealer install the votex 3pc. spoiler on my car. Tech said he would rather have screwed it in place, but that Audi would only allow the use of 3M tape.

So how secure is it? Should I worry at all about it. . .to the touch it seems mighty strong.

Still used today on my airliner to seal fairings and such as a temporary fix until they can be properly resealed. Pretty tough stuff!

Stock side skirt on many many cars are held only by that 3M tape.

Try pulling off your spoiler, you'll see how strong it is.
