How to Un-mute radio

How to Un-mute radio
...as I mentioned in my earlier thread today, my MMI stopped working unexpectedly, along with lighting on center console...
I found water in left rear wheel well, and amp looked to be fried. I took the amp apart and scrubbed away the apparent corrosion (and presumably shorts) from the water...
after re-installation, MMI and console lighting are working again...radio and CD functions work, but the screen shows the "volume mute" symbol and I can't figure out how to un-mute it. I had this problem once before when I first had the car, but I can't remember how I fixed it...

...holding down volume **** turns off
the screen on mine.
I think it just needs a new amp (and a weather seal). On any screen, the four main buttons by the MMI controller work...EXCEPT the "sound" button...
the MMI doesn't work at all with the amp disconnected, but I don't think the amp is working properly...
kinda like how the B5's won't work with the central locking vacuum pump disconnected, even if it isn't working
the screen on mine.

Did you try turning the volume up?
