Intermittent Shutter & Steering Pull 06 A6 3.2Q
I have a weird one that in that my 06 3.2Q w/160k just recently gave me a scare...One recent day, the front end begins to vibrate & shudder at Highway speeds & as I accelerate it not only gets worse it pulls the steering wheel to the left as if I did not control it would turn into traffic! Took it immediately to my local guy...He takes the car and says, all good, no symptoms at all. Rebalanced the wheels for you just in case. Took it and all was fine, within the week it happens again and yet in the same drive day when I park and come back, symptoms are gone! What gives...happened again this week and it appears to be getting worse...Call my service guy, all good on test drive! Suggestions?

I'm going to guess control arm bushings. Possibly brake caliper hanging up, which may explain the pulling. But you need to get a second opinion. Sounds like it could get dangerous. Does it make any audible noises?
