'05 A8 Atlas

I'm looking to buy a Audi for my wife (and me on the weekends since I have to drive a Ford F250 for work). I've been looking at a CPO '06 A6 3.2 that is fairly well loaded (every package except S-line). It has 21,000 miles white with black interior and the asking price is $37,000. We also looked at two CPO '05 A8L's one is white/tan and the other is gray/ameretto. Both have about 33,000 miles and most options. asking prices are $40,500-$42,000. My wife liked the A6 but then she got into an A8 and loves them. She has a bit if a drive to work each day (about 45min to an hour depending on RT. 1 traffic) So my question is which one would we be happier with The newer lower milage better fuel econ. A6 or the just absoultely awesome A8.

Depends on your budget. The A6 can do 26 MPG, so you can save on gas. The A8 is a V8 engine that does 18 MPG. If you don't care at all about the price of premium gas, then the A8 is an option.

Both the A6 and A8 are comfy in traffic and long trips. If your wife is taller than 5'10", the A8 should be an option. I find the A8 quite big for me.

The build quality and interior designs and materials are so so nice on the A8, it is a great car for cruising to work. Drive them both, you should be able to tell a big difference. Keep in mind there is about a 30k difference in original sticker between the two cars.
