Hi all,

I'm getting a 2500 rpm rev limit with the warning "Oil level! Sensor defective" and a coil lamp blinking with my 2009 A6 C6 3.0 TDI (CDYA).
Had it scanned for codes and there was one for the oil pressure sensor being intermittent.
Since the sensor itself is quite cheap, wanted to replace it and see if that fixes anything, however, I've scoured the web and can't seem to find the location of it.

Does anyone happen to know where it's located?

Since I have a 3.2 (2008) I can't be sure with your engine but based on a quick search it seems to be in the same place, bottom of the oil pan, very easy to replace, probably because of how critical the info it provides is.

The sensor at the bottom of the pan is the oil level sensor, not pressure. (I just replaced it last weekend lol)

Your original post says: "Oil level! Sensor defective" . Although I admit to your scan saying oil pressure sensor, it would be a good idea to check or replace them both. Again not too familiar with the 3.0 but on the 3.2 the oil pressure sender is located below the oil filter.
