I was looking at a MB the other day and discovered that MB only show the major cities where I live. Nothing outside a 20 mile radius - it looks just like the Dead Zone in World of Warcraft for those of you who know.

I also understand that Audi also has some limitations but understand that it has better maps. For those of you who travel outside the major cities do you find that there is enough detail and you can plot a course between smaller rural locations. You know, like I can with my Gamine Street Pilot.

Is there a difference in detail between US and Canadian locations?

Only have a 2005 DVD at the moment, but detail increases as the years go on.

version 6 of the nav come in the '07s and, so far, it has been fabulous.
