BTDT. I just replaced the bent valves and all the chain guides. Car runs awesome.

Update 2016. My car ran fine for about a year then the valves failed again. Had to replace bent valves 3 times before coming to the understanding that it is not just the timing chain tensioners that fail but the chain as well stretch allowing it to work itself out of time. I never replaced the chains when I rebuilt the engine. I changed one afterwards by dropping the transmission and installing it. That side is now fine and now the other side is failing. I'm not changing a chain again. I'm done. Tapped out. Bought a truck. Trying to unload this hunk of junk now. Good luck guys.
