Picked up my 7th Audi and newest at 5 years, a 2010 A6 3.0T Prestige with 77K. Have had several turbos, first super charger.

A couple quick questions.
1. Is there a Bentley manual for this car? I am only seeing through 2009 on their site. Or any other good repair resources? I maintain my own cars.

2. I don't know the C6 line as well, what are the major changes through this revision? If i'm searching for answers on issues and questions what years/models are mostly equivalent?

There is, I just bought one. You just have to search on the Bentley site. FYI, I bought mine from europaparts.com. $30 cheaper than directly from Bentley anyway.

Yah, it says through 2009 but I'm pretty sure the 2009 and 2010 didn't really have any differences. (Other than a metal water pump instead of the plastic one that exploded on the 2009's and I think the MMI was upgrade to 3G) I've looked a few times and never found one that said 2010. Maybe this manual won't cover the 3G MMI. I do all my own work as well but I haven't pulled the trigger yet on the manual. Just done research here and audizine for changing all the fluids.

I'm still learning myself about the car. The 2009-2010 most people call the C6 Facelift. LED Lighting, various exterior cosmetic changes, a change in quattro to 40/60 front/rear bias which I guess helped with understeer and of course the introduction of the 3.0T motor. I think in 2010 is when the MMI was updated to the 3G system which unfortunately you have to pay the dealer to upgrade vs the 2G where you can download the upgraded software about anywhere it seems. Other than those two things, I get the impression most of the other stuff is the same. I know the transmission was used for quite a few years before 2010 and there's lots of info on it.

Also with MMI 3G, if you have Bluetooth you probably have noticed that you cannot play music from your phone with it. You'll want this adapter if you want to be able to continue to use the built in car controls. (You'll also need the iPod AMI cable if you don't have one) It works better with Apple than with Android (can see song titles and stuff I guess with Apple, Android just shows Next/Prev but it works)

Congrats, I have the exact same car since December. It's my 5th or 6th Audi and by far my favorite of anything I've owned. I'm hoping it holds up well. It seems to be a very well liked model. I've been under it a couple times now and it looks pretty much exactly like all my A4's underneath. Everything is more or less in the same place and fits together the same, it's just a little bigger which has been kind of comforting. If you don't have a VAG-COM already (I'm betting you do) it will really help. EVERYTHING seems tied into the CAN BUS. I've not had to diagnose anything yet but I'm hoping it takes a little guess work out of it when something does break. This was my first CAN Bus car so I had to upgrade my interface to the HEX/CAN for it to work which I was happy to do since they took my original VAG-COM in on trade that I bought 15 years ago.

It's been hard searching for info with the C"6.5" changes and 3.0 vs 3.0t and the MMI change wasn't clear to me either. Maybe the lack of info is because everyone with a late C6 3.0T is out driving them VAG-COM is on my shortlist to buy, enough borrowing when needed. I was surprised, probably the first Audi i've owned without a single electrical gremlin. probably just jinxed that.

I did get get a response from Bentley when I posed the question of 2010 missing on their cover:

"Thank you for contacting Bentley Publishers. We have not verified that the information on the DVD will be accurate for 2010 model year cars. If there was any changes made to the vehicle, the DVD will not show them. I wouldn't want you to purchase this and not be happy with the content. "

Basically what you said, above.

Any opinions on Alldata? Seems cheap enough to try that for a year.
