By DIS i'm assuming you mean the color screen in between tach and speedo? mine does not have that.

DIS = Driver Information System
It is positioned where you suggest, but is not necessarily colour (mine isn't).
Do you have a "Check" button on the dashboard near the instrument cluster? If so, what happens when you press it when the car is stationary.
It should briefly display a series of symbols, and then assuming all is well, an OK message.
